I was raised Catholic. Ten years of Catholic school. There was even a short time when I thought I would become a nun.
In my 20s, when I left the Church, I thought that notion was utterly insane. Then, after my dad died, I started to learn about the Feminine, pleasure, and sensuality — and I began to really deconstruct everything I had ever learned about spirituality.
I realized the devotion I once held for Catholicism was not wrong. The idea of becoming a nun was not stupid. It was just pointed in the wrong direction.
When I read that Mary Magdalene — the woman I grew up believing was the penitent prostitute — was in fact not a prostitute but a wealthy, sacred, sexual Priestess, something deep in me knew this as truth. That revelation healed me backwards and forwards through time and space.
I decided, right there, that I was going to be a Magdalene Priestess.
For the past 8 years, I've been deconstructing patriarchal religion and returning to the Forbidden Wisdom of the Sacred Feminine.
