Her Story Was Buried. It's Time We Dug It Back Up.

For the first few centuries of Christianity, Mary Magdalene wasn't a footnote — she was a leader, dare i say THE Leader. A teacher who continued to priestess for decades after the crucifixion. She was the true rock that the movement was built upon.

Then, in 591 AD, Pope Gregory the Great — let's be honest, Pope Gregory the Worst — delivered a homily branding her a prostitute. There is and never was any scripture that said it.

He said it, a man, creating a story about a powerful woman to diminish her importance. And for the next 1,500 years, the Church ran with it, shrinking her, slandering her, writing her out of her own leadership. Let us be clear - the church did this because it further supported the patriarchal nonsense that women were not built for leadership.

Meanwhile, popes, bishops, and kings quietly made pilgrimages to her cave in Southern France. Even as her name was dragged in public, the powerful still went looking for her in private. And the church continued to make money off of her, even turning her cave into a church itself.

It wasn't until the 1960s that the Church began to reverse its position, again because there was no evidence to back up Pope Gregory. And, not until 2016 that she was finally given her own feast day. Her rehabilitation is younger than the iPhone.

But I'm not interested in rehabilitating her within the Church. I'm not interested in her as somebody's wife, somebody's beloved, or a supporting character in somebody else's resurrection story.

I'm interested in her as the point of the whole thing.

A woman with her own wealth. Her own gnosis. Her own lineage of Eros and embodied devotion that predates the men who tried to write her out of it — some trace her back through the temple priestesses of Isis, women whose sacred devotion was pleasure, whose touch and anointing oil were instruments of power, not shame.

She wasn't rescued. She was ordained.

You'll map where in your life and business you've been operating on grind instead of magnetism, and begin recalibrating.

Week Two — The Lineage: Inanna, Isis, Aphrodite, and the Line That Runs to Her Mary Magdalene didn't invent the Pleasure Priestess — she inherited her. Inanna, who taught that a woman can descend into her own undoing and return sovereign. Isis, who fused sex, magic, and healing into one practice. Aphrodite, whose desire needed no husband or purpose to justify it. And then Magdalene, carrying that same current into a world already forgetting it. This week traces the lineage as your inheritance, not history — you're not discovering something new, you're remembering something old. Ritual: a lineage invocation, calling in each goddess by name and locating which one lives loudest in your body right now.

Week Three — Desire as Divine The hinge week. Desire isn't the opposite of the sacred — it's divine intelligence, the same current driving your ambition, your business, your intimacy. We go into how suppressing desire in one area of your life always throttles it in every other area. This is where the embodiment work goes deepest.

Week Four — The Scarlet Woman: Reclaiming the Slander as a Crown We don't just debunk the "whore" label — we weaponize it. Unowned female sexuality has always been dangerous to power structures, which is exactly why it gets pathologized. If you've been called too much, too intense, too sexual — this week, that becomes your title, not your shame.

Week Five — The Wealthy Sovereign: Luxury as Devotion Mary Magdalene funded a ministry from her own resources. The oil she anointed with was worth a year's wages — imported, extravagant, chosen on purpose. This week reframes wealth and luxury as devotional acts, not vanity you have to justify. For women already making money, this is permission to let money be pleasure — fine things, fine living, self-adornment as sovereignty.
